Details & project milestones

HPE Edgeline 8000 was selected for OrbitsEdge’s planned 1,000 W SatFrame satellite variant; NASA also reports that OrbitsEdge purchased several units for development. This is a selected-computing-system and development-hardware role, with orbital deployment unverified.

February 11, 2025 is NASA’s publication date, not an agreement signature, purchase, launch or service date. NASA identifies OrbitsEdge as the purchaser of several development units; the direct seller or procurement intermediary, exact quantity, value and transaction date are undisclosed. This does not establish a production flight-hardware order. The role applies to the planned Edgeline 8000 SatFrame variant; it is not allocated to HPE’s ISS Spaceborne Computer or the separate Edge1/Prometheus Spark payload. The 1,000 W satellite plan is not demonstrated or available customer compute power.

Technical specifications retain the source’s original units and evidence status. Hardware counts, compute rates and power are not equivalent; launched hardware does not establish demonstrated performance. Supplier counts include suppliers and hosts only, reflect current filters and cover this directory, not the entire market. “No record” means no disclosure captured; it does not mean the work is unawarded. Latest developments use source dates, not routine review or collection dates.
