Zhongke Tiansuan Plan

This project focuses on developing supercomputing and cloud-edge processing in orbit.

Yunyao’s official cooperation announcement identifies Zhongke Tiansuan’s Tiansuan Plan for a space-supercomputing centre and proposed Aurora onboard-compute solutions. The partners plan weather-AI research and cloud-edge coordination between orbital compute nodes and weather satellites. Government-hosted 2026 accounts describe a domestic multi-GPU prototype and a proposed 2030 space-supercomputing centre. These are attributed development claims and targets, without a verified deployment of that centre.

NEXT MILESTONE

Await a named Aurora payload allocation, joint-laboratory result or dated orbital-node demonstration from the partners. No fixed next event date disclosed.

Manual review with evidence gaps 31 Oct 2026. Compared readable Tianjin cooperation evidence and Shanghai development accounts with accepted Yunyao facts. Structured weather-AI payloads, core/edge coordination and laboratory scope. Flight results remain unverified, and conflicting compute, array and network details remain held. Last full profile review 14 Oct 2026. Primary body last observed 14 Oct, 11:08 UTC. Source monitoring: ongoing. Source collection and substantive profile review are separate checks. Plans and dates may change.

WHAT REMAINS UNKNOWN
  • No deployed supercomputing centre, firm payload quantity, delivered units or procurement price established.
  • Distinct from BUPT Tiansuan and Oriental Tiansuan. The agreement names the Shanghai legal entity.
  • A dated launch or commissioning result for the 2026 prototype and exact flight configuration are not verified.
  • March HTML and indexed PDF excerpts differ on solar-array area and communication architecture. The PDF returned503 and needs a readable official comparison.
  • The May finance-office account calls the investment an angel round at the hundred-million-yuan scale. Its identity against the March media-reported angel-plus round needs confirmation before counting a second transaction.
