China · Distributed orbital computing constellation
Xuechen computing constellation
This project focuses on distributing computing tasks across a satellite constellation.
Xuechen Xinghang plans a 30-satellite computing constellation. Its first pair, Xuechen 01A and 01B, is targeted for late 2026, with planned per-satellite specifications of 4 POPS at FP8 and 16 TB storage. XC03 / Changyuan-01 is targeted for February 2027 and lists a Zhijiang AI computer at 2070 TFLOPS at FP4, 128 GB memory and 3.84 TB storage. Three more computing satellites are planned during 2027. The company reports completing an angel round in 2026 and a July 2026 strategic framework agreement with Shanghai Geruide. Launch completion and achieved orbital computing performance remain unverified.

First pair targeted for late 2026; XC03 targeted for February 2027.
Manual review 28 Oct 2026. Compared the complete current official Xuechen site with the accepted project and technical records. The first pair and XC03 remain separate planned configurations. Corrected first-pair life to more than five years, XC03 solar output to at least 400 W, and added mission-specific communications descriptions without borrowing generic terminal rates. Primary body last observed 15 Oct, 19:14 UTC. Source monitoring: ongoing. Source collection and substantive profile review are separate checks. Plans and dates may change.
Launch vehicle/provider, exact launch date, completed flight/commissioning, measured orbital computing/laser performance and paying-service availability remain unverified. Angel-round amount/investors/date beyond 2026 undisclosed. July 15 article claims multiple signed orders but identifies no customers, values, delivery milestones or terms. The article therefore does not establish an absence of customer orders. Joint lab completion and independently verified partnership delivery remain unknown.
