Finland · Distributed orbital data-centre development
ReOrbit Space Cloud
This project focuses on developing distributed data centers in orbit.
ReOrbit announced Space Cloud with Google Cloud technical collaboration in February 2026. In June it separately described OrbitCloud orbital-AI/D2D R&D funded with EUR4.6 million from Business Finland. No deployed compute network is established. Formal equivalence of the two programme names remains unclear.

Scope: Shared computing & storage · A shared computing or storage platform, or a program developing that infrastructure. Classification describes intended use, not operating capacity.
Figures retain their disclosed units and scope. Launched hardware does not establish demonstrated performance; targets may change. Not disclosed means no figure in the reviewed sources.

Clarify Space Cloud / OrbitCloud identity and obtain a dated first-flight or demonstrator plan.
Manual review with evidence gaps 29 Oct 2026. Compared February Space Cloud release, June OrbitCloud funding release and current OrbitCloud page. Saved separate programme architectures. Formal identity continuity and flight configuration remain unresolved. EUR4.6m initial funding already exists. Primary body last observed 23 Oct, 06:37 UTC. Source monitoring: blocked. Source collection and substantive profile review are separate checks. Plans and dates may change.
Related ReOrbit edge-computing programme received EUR4.6m initial-phase funding. Projected total exceeds EUR40m. Formal identity continuity with Space Cloud not explicitly stated.
