This project focuses on combining space-based data relay with edge computing.
Kepler's next tranche plans multiple 2028 launches for optical relay, onboard computing and hosted payloads. Ten spacecraft are allocated to Maverick/Portal's Motus Via Sol mission; a separate dedicated Rocket Lab Neutron mission has also been selected.

Scope: Shared computing & storage · A shared computing or storage platform, or a program developing that infrastructure. Classification describes intended use, not operating capacity.
Figures retain their disclosed units and scope. Launched hardware does not establish demonstrated performance; targets may change. Not disclosed means no figure in the reviewed sources.
Multiple 2028 launches: dedicated Neutron mission no earlier than 2028 and ten-satellite Motus Via Sol allocation targeted for mid-2028.
Manual review 30 Oct 2026. Compared both 2028 launch allocations and the optical-terminal announcement. Added 400 kg-class mass for the ten-satellite allocation. The 100 Gbps target remains route-unspecified and is not an ISL conflict or flight benchmark. Last full profile review 15 Oct 2026. Primary body last observed 23 Oct, 09:47 UTC. Source monitoring: partial. Source collection and substantive profile review are separate checks. Plans and dates may change.
Kepler says its first next-generation tranche completed commissioning and is delivering commercial optical data-relay services to government and commercial customers, combining optical links, onboard processing and hosted payloads. A separate 2028 tranche remains planned, with optical rates stated at up to 100 Gbps.
